Frequently Asked Questions
How does Xly work?
Xly loads X.com (Twitter) in a webview and provides organized access to different sections. DMs and Notifications are always available. Timeline and Bookmarks are limited to 5 minutes per hour to help you stay focused.
Is my X login secure?
Yes. When you log into X through Xly, your credentials go directly to X.com — we never see or store them. The app simply displays X.com content; we don't intercept anything.
Why 5 minutes per hour?
Research shows that 5 minutes is enough time to check what's important without falling into endless scrolling. You can always access DMs and notifications without limits.
Can I change the time limits?
Currently, the 5-minute limit is fixed by design. This intentional constraint is a core feature of Xly — it helps you use X mindfully rather than habitually.
Does Xly use the X API?
No. Xly does not use the X API. It simply displays X.com in a webview, which means there's no risk of API-related account issues.
